New layout!!!

March 27th, 2009 @ 03:15 pm › 5 comments

I have finally managed to finish coding and setting up the new layout! Best viewed with the latest version of Firefox, but looks somehow good with Internet Explorer and Safari aswell.

It has a lot more user oriented features for each single post. Using the five links under each post you can now print a basic version of the it; share it with friends, just click the “share” link to view/hide the list of social networks available (if your favourite is not in the list just contact me and I’ll add it); view comments and leave your feedback; view a short list of related posts and the list of tags.

The themes at the gallery and the video archive will soon be replaced to match the new one. I’ll be really busy with university next week so I can’t guarantee I’ll find enough time to update before friday April 3.

EDIT: You can now follow LukeGrimes.net on Twitter!! Click here to visit our page on Twitter.com, or scroll down this page and look for the widget on the left.

EDIT 2: You can now switch back to the previous theme, if you prefer it to the new one. Just scroll down and look for the “Theme change” box in the sidebar. Please remember that some pages (affiliates, affiliation form) and some features (share with friends, tags, related posts…) won’t be working in the previous theme or will still display the new layout. I’ll fix that sooner or later.

Five clips have been also added to the video archive. Click the preview to stream / download them:

Brothers & Sisters will take a 3 weeks hiatus and return on April 19th with episode 3.21 (“S3X” – stream the promo here, no Luke in it) and end on May 10th with 3.24, the season three finale. Luke is confirmed to appear in 3.21, beyond that we have no official confirmation, altrought we strongly believe that he’ll stick around for a lot more.

A new layout for this site is also on the way, it’s going to be big, a lot more functional and user oriented. Stay clicked.

DVD News: “Assassination…” and “Brothers & Sisters”

March 15th, 2009 @ 10:48 am › 0 comments

Good news for all the DVD lovers!  According to Slash Films, “Assassination  of a High School President” might go direct to DVD:

At the 2008 Sundance Film Festival, Yari Film Group premiered Brett Simon’s Assassination of a High School President, a film noir mystery set inside the world of a John Hughes-style High School comedy. It quickly emerged as one of the underdogs on the schedule to become one of the most buzzed about films at the festival. Unfortunately, Yari Film Group was forced into involuntary bankruptcy, and the film has been sitting on the shelf ever since. [...]

There might still be hope. Studios are still deciding whether or not they want to take a financial risk by buying the theatrical rights, spending cash on P&A and distributing the movie theatrically. Sony has the home video distribution rights, and from a business standpoint, they think it makes more sense to send the film direct to dvd. [...]

Plus, TV Shows on DVD announced that the third season of Brothers & Sisters will be released on DVD on September 1, 2009 for $59.99 in the US and CA$79.99 SRP in Canada.  Click the previous link to see the list of extras.

Luke-Grimes.net Video Archive!!!

March 14th, 2009 @ 06:38 pm › 1 comment

The video archive I’ve been promising for quite a while is finally here! So far I have added all the clips of Luke on Brothers & Sisters (including the episodes that aired before the opening of this site), but more videos (including interviews, clips of “All the Boys Love Mandy Lane”, previews of Mitchells Folly’s debut album “Whirlwind” and more) are coming in the next weeks.

So, enough talking, it’s time for action. Click the screenshot (or the “media” link in the navigation) to open it:

I wrote all the php code myself so there might be some little bugs or errors. Feel free to let me know if you come accross any and I’ll fix them.
