Ausiello talks Ryan Lafferty

April 30th, 2009 @ 07:27 am › 2 comments

In his latest “Ask Ausiello”, Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello was asked about Ryan Lafferty (Luke’s character on “Brothers & Sisters”). No big spoilers, but since it’s quite a calm week, I’ll report it anyway:

Question: You’re funny! Will Luke Grimes be a regular cast member next season on Brothers & Sisters? –Henri.
Ausiello: Yes, I can confirm that I am funny. Oh, wait, that wasn’t a question. My bad. Re: Grimes, I believe making him a series regular was the plan, but that may change in light of growing Ryan backlash. Personally, I have no problem with the actor. It’s the way they’re writing him that irks me. His creepy obsession with Rebecca was bad enough, but now he’s teaming up with Holly to take down the Walkers? And the fact that the writers allowed their sharpest character — Sarah — to fall for it hook, line, and sinker is unforgivable. Can you tell I’m a little down on B&S these days?

“Brothers & Sisters”: new spoilers

Zap 2 it’s Korbi released some spoilers for this Sunday’s episode of “Brothers & Sisters” and there’s something about Ryan too:

Are Justin and Rebecca getting back together? -Carla
Oh, big things for J&R on Sunday. Huge. I mean, Ryan will officially throw his hat into the Rebecca ring in a couple days, but his big brother will come out victorious this time.

Episode 3.22 (titled “Julia”) airs tomorrow at 10/9 c on ABC.

“Brothers & Sisters” receives early renewal

April 24th, 2009 @ 07:20 am › 0 comments

According to ABC new press release:

ABC announced early pick-ups for the 09-10 season, of “America’s Funniest Home Videos,” “The Bachelor,” “Brothers & Sisters,” “Dancing with the Stars,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition,” “Grey’s Anatomy,” “Lost,” “Private Practice,” “Supernanny,” “Ugly Betty” and “Wife Swap.”

We still have no confirmation if Luke will come back to reprise his role next season (the show’s fourth), but it looks likely; with the dismissal of  Balthazar Getty (Tommy), the Walker clan could really use a new brother.
